Dr. Hilda Bentley officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Cemetery.
Mrs. Litchfield died on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at 2:15 p.m., at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz, of natural causes.
Mrs. Litchfield was born on July 28, 1912, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Iva Anna Ladd Faulkner.
Mrs. Litchfield was retired from Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service, with 40 years of service; was a member of the Business and Professional Woman’s Club, where she was outstanding member in 1963; and was a member of the Cadiz United Methodist Church, where she was the oldest member.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Layton Litchfield; and two sisters, Elizabeth Reynolds and Charlene Faulkner Thomas.
Survivors include a son, Charles L. Litchfield of Cadiz; daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Gene Powell of Cadiz; grandchildren and spouses, Tom and Melissa Howell of Louisville, Col. Brian and Marilyn Hearnsberger of Oceanside, Calif., David and Janice Mason of Tampa, Fla., and Maj. Michael Powell of Omaha, Neb.; and three great-grandchildren.
Charlie Stamper, instrumentalist, provided the music.
