Mrs. Wood died on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. Wood was born on August 19, 1923 in Golden Pond, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Carter and Mary Whitney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Wood; a sister, Betty Dixon of Schereville, Ind.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Frances Wood and Kenneth and Linda Wood; a daughter, Sherry Kay Moore; three grandsons; three granddaughters; and a sister, Helen McCloud of Cadiz.
