Rev. Jerry Bacon officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Corinth Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mr. Blane died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 3:30 p.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mr. Blane was born on May 26, 1944, in Christian County. He was the son of the late Howell and Ophelia Gee Blane.
Mr. Blane was a roofer for Chilton Roofing and a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cadiz.
Survivors include two brothers, Jimmy Blane of Elkton and O.G. Blane of Cadiz; and four sisters, Mae Alice Lindsay, Loretta J. Blane, Clara Belle Blane, and Darlene Crenshaw, all of Cadiz
