Presented at the ceremony will be the awards for citizen of the year, good Samaritan of the year, ambassador of the year, small business of the year and educator of the year. The spirit of Trigg County award, the president’s award and the special recognition award will also be presented.
State Sen. Joey Pendleton, a Democrat serving the third senatorial district, will be a guest speaker. The third district comprises Christian, Todd and Logan Counties.
“We feel like this is passing the gavel,” said Melody Holder, associate broker for Caldwell Banker and current president of the chamber of commerce.
The new president is going to be John Durden.
Tickets to the dinner and awards ceremony went on sale Monday, Oct. 27, and are on sale at the Bank of Cadiz Downtown, Heritage Bank, Integra Bank and the Pennyrile Rural Electric Building.
There will be seating for 150 people at the dinner, said Holder.
“But if we sell 150 tickets, we’ll make room for more,” she said.
