He was a graduate of Trigg County High School, attended Murray State University, graduated from Bowling Green College of Commerce and moved to Murray in 1954. He established the accounting firm of Bethel Richardson, CPA and retired in 1994. He was a former member of Murray Jaycees and Murray Lions Club and served as president of Murray Lions Club and was Cabinet Secretary of Lions District 43K. He also served as a Director of Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and served on the Murray Independent School Board for 12 years.
He is survived by is wife Sina Wheeler Richardson also of Murray. Four daughters: Audrey Brown, Brenda Hosford (Keith) both of Murray, Michele Stewart (Roy) of Nashville and Beth Hurter (Mark) of Toney, Ala. Sister, Betty Schwall (Jay) of New Orleans, and nine grandchildren: Mickey Brown, Bryan Hosford, Jonathan Hosford, Jeremy Hosford, Mark Hurter, Melissa Hurter, Sarah Hurter, Ryan Stewart, Michael Stewart and 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jennings Bethel Richardson Sr and Mary English Richardson, brother Henry Richardson and two granddaughters Sina and Mary Hurter.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with visitation to be on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, from 4-8 p.m. also at Churchill Funeral Home. Ministers for the service will be Dr. Greg Earwood and Dr. Wendell Ray and burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens.
