Private Graveside Services for C.H. Roark, 93, of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Monday, November 10, 2008, at 3 p.m., at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. James Hazelrigg officiated at the service. Burial followed in the cemetery.

Mr. Roark died on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at 9:29 a.m., at the Christian Care Communities in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

Mr. Roark was born on October 24, 1915, in Hampton, Ark. He was the son of the late Frank and Cora Green Roark.

Mr. Roark was a retired Agriculture Teacher in Elaine, Ark.; a farmer; member of the FFA and Gideons; and a member of the Elaine Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mary Louise Roark of Hopkinsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. John and Lisa Roark of Hopkinsville; a daughter, Marilyn Peterson of Elaine, Ark.; and three grandchildren, J. Roark and Carl Roark, both of Hopkinsville, and Mary Rose Woo of Elaine, Ark.
