The Trigg County seventh-grade team defeated Crittenden County 33-26. Leonzerrae Grubbs led Trigg County in the seventh-grade game, scoring a team-high 11 points.
The Trigg County eighth-grade team beat Crittenden 37-32. Khadijah Grubbs was the go-to player for Trigg County in the eighth-grade game. Grubbs paced the Lady MidCat eighth-grade team with a game-high 24 points, scoring early and often versus a very talented and capable Crittenden County team.
Trigg County, Hopkinsville split boys’ basketball games: In boys’ middle school basketball, Trigg County’s seventh-grade team defeated Hopkinsville 40-30. Luke Mckenzie led the Trigg County seventh-grade boys’ basketball team with 11 points.
In the eighth-grade game, Hopkinsville prevailed 59-50.
Deonquez Nance paced the Midcats with a team-best 17 points.
