Trigg County quarterback Donald Bush passed for three touchdowns and ran for a pair of scores as the Wildcats beat Todd County Central. With the win, Trigg County earned the right to move into the second round for a matchup versus Owensboro Catholic this Friday night. Owensboro Catholic (4-7) defeated Caldwell County in another opening round matchup.
Shelton Burress started the offensive attack for Trigg County on the game's opening play when he broke free from the Todd County Central defensive unit and scored on a 53-yard scamper. Trigg County owned a 7-0 lead just seconds into the game and never looked back. The Wildcats never trailed Todd County Central in the postseason game.
Trigg County scored on each of its first three possessions. The Wildcat defensive unit made a pair of key interceptions to help set the stage for the early offensive highlights.
Trigg County owned a commanding 19-0 lead just over six minutes into the game.
The Wildcats intercepted Todd County Central quarterback Aaron Power three times. The Todd County quarterback was limited to 136 yards passing on a 5-for-13 aerial effort.
