Funeral services for Richard “R.H.” Braboy, 77, of Hopkinsville, will be conducted on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at 10:30 a.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Denny Francis and Wayne Glass will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Peyton-Thomas Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mr. Braboy died on Sunday, November 30, 2008, at 12:55 a.m., at his home of natural causes.

Mr. Braboy was born on December 17, 1930, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Lacy Wade and Coella Baker Braboy.

Mr. Braboy was retired from TVA, where he was a heavy equipment operator; was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean Conflict; and was a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church.

Rev. Larry Combs, vocalist and Rosella Bush, pianist, will provide the music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Rena Barnes.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Thomas Braboy of Hopkinsville; two sons, Barry Braboy and David Braboy, both of Cadiz; a step son, Ricky Knight of Cadiz; two step daughters, Regina Braboy of Cadiz and Rhonda Knight of Hopkinsville; a sister, Margaret Jane Baldwin of Warren, Mich.; three grandchildren, Shannon Barnes, Heather Barnes, and Brandi Barnes; five step grandchildren, Daniel Knight, Tara West, Danya Dalcome, Joanna Knight, and Natosha Frederick; eight step great-grandchildren, Ethan Hauret, Aaron Hauret, Makayla Knight, Malachi Knight, Sabryn VanHooser, Riley West, Kayla Frederick, and Brooklyn Frederick.

Serving as pallbearers will be Don Bush, Ricky Knight, Donald Braboy, Marty Hunter, Danny Thomas, and Butch Thomas.
