Senior power forward/center Maria Boyd led Hopkinsville to the win, scoring a game-high 23 points. Jessica Hobson, a senior point guard, added 14 points for the Lady Tigers. Senior shooting guard Sharae Wilson chipped in 11 points for the Hopkinsville team.
The Lady Tigers started to break free from Trigg County after taking an 11-8 lead out of the first quarter. Hopkinsville used a 23-5 scoring run in the first half to distance itself from Trigg County. The Lady Tigers led the Lady Cats 29-15 at the break. Hopkinsville added distance between itself and the Lady Cats in the third quarter, outscoring Trigg County 25-10.
Senior forward Janada Acree led Trigg County with 14 points. Acree grabbed the 1,000th rebound of her career during the regular-season finale, becoming only the second Lady Tiger to do so. She was the lone Trigg County player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Sophomore guard/forward Ashley Matlock was the second-leading scorer for Trigg County, finishing with seven points. Senior guard Trinity Wortham scored six points and senior guard Audrey Futrell added five for the Lady Cats.
Wortham hit a pair of three-point field goals for Trigg County. Futrell connected on one three-pointer for the Lady Cats.
