Stephan Lovan led Hopkinsville with 19 points. Hopkinsville featured four double figures scorers. Brayon Mason pushed in 18 points while Raphael Catlett and Darius Freeman contributed 12 apiece. Ten different Hopkinsville players provided scoring in the regular-season finale. Jamarius Bussell added eight points for the Tigers.
Mason hit four of Hopkinsville’s nine three-point field goals. Catlett and Lovan each had two three-pointers for the Tigers.
Hopkinsville grabbed a lead in the first quarter. The Tigers led Trigg County 23-17 at the end of the first quarter and 48-36 at the intermission. Hopkinsville maintained a lead in the second half and never trailed. The Tigers finished strong, outscoring Trigg County 18-13 in the final quarter.
Trigg County hit six three-point field goals in the setback.
Junior forward Zeke Wright added 11 points for Trigg County. Senior forward Dustin White and junior guard Jalik Alexander scored four points apiece for the Tigers. Junior center Blake Mitchell made it into the Trigg County scoring column when he connected on a free throw.
The Wildcats ended the season with back-to-back losses. Earlier in the week, Todd County Central defeated the Trigg County boys' basketball team.
Hopkinsville improved to 12-11 while Trigg County dropped to 15-13.
