Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Howe Peterson Funeral Home, in Taylor, MI with military honors.

Rev. Jonathan Locklear officiated at the services. Burial followed at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.

Mr. Flood died on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at 3 a.m. at St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo, OH, of natural causes.

Mr. Flood was born June 12, 1931, in Golden Pond, KY. He was the son of the late Walter and Annie Flood.

Mr. Flood was a retired fireman where he retired from Wayne County Metropolitan Fire Dept. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist Faith, a member of VFW Post 8713, D.A.V., Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Willie English, Floy Skiver, Jane Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Flood, Newport, MI, four daughters, Geraldine Henninger, Woodstock, GA, Vickie Laskey, Newport, MI, Linda and Dave Sanders, Taylor, MI, Teena and Michael Souva, Newport, MI, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Frances Flood, Murray, KY, nephew, Larry and Marilyn Flood, Murray, KY, and one niece June and Roy Ezell, Cadiz, KY.
