In the near future, a new Subway will be open in Broadbent Square, near the WKDZ radio station studio. But Owner Cameron Taleban of Taris Industries, LLC, in Paducah, said it will offer more than typical sub sandwich shops in the area.

Taleban said he hopes to open the new Subway in about four months, and would like it to be opened sooner, but there have been problems, as there are with any construction project. He added that he chose Broadbent Square because the flow of traffic and the number of other restaurants in the area make it an ideal location.

The store will be serving Subway’s typical sandwich menu, but will also offer a breakfast menu, and it will be the ninth one owned by Taleban, who said he owns other Subway restaurants in Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee and Indiana.

Taleban said the store will open every morning between 6 and 7 a.m. and will close at about 12 midnight, unless he sees that customers need it be open later, or even need it to be open 24 hours per day.

Taleban said the restaurant will be 1,700 square feet and will be able to seat 35 people. He added that he is excited about opening another restaurant in Broadbent Square, which also includes restaurants like Wendy’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken/Taco Bell and Cracker Barrel.
