Take Kids Fishing draws 200 youngsters

The 10th annual Take Kids Fishing Tournament was held Saturday at West Cadiz Park, with 200 kids age 3-15 and over 200 adults participating.

The winners, who each received a trophy and Cracker Barrel gift certificate, are as follows:

Age 3-5: Longest fish, Kaleb Brown, 19-inch bass; Most fish, Joshua Bridges and Kelsey Parham, eight; Smallest fish, Kelsey Parham, 3.25 inches; Casting distance, Jay Humphries, 69 feet; Reeling, Bryan Grubbs, 12.06 seconds;

Age 6-8: Longest fish, McKenzie Powell, 22-inch carp; Most fish, Leah Finley, 12; Smallest fish, Tyranique Cavanagh, four-inch bluegill; Casting distance, Ethan Wells, 79 feet; Reeling, Faith Vannes, 11.1 seconds;

Age 9-11: Longest fish, Morgan Powell, 15 inches; Most fish, Morgan Powell, 12; Smallest fish, Jaleyah Northington, four inches; Casting distance, Cory Goodwin, 93 feet; Reeling, Joey Meter, 8.63 seconds;

Age 12-15: Longest fish, Billy Ramirez, 14 inches; Most fish, David Morgan and Meacham Green, seven; Smallest fish, James Bush and Annie Grubbs, four inches; Casting distance, Brian Taylor, 95 feet; Reeling, Jakelzie Martin, 8.44 seconds.
