Cadiz Civitan Club met Tuesday June 16, with President Rachel Shepard presiding. Ronnie Cook led the Pledge to the American flag, an David Kyler said the prayer. Reports were given by Treasurer Ronnie Cook, and Secretary Connie Cook. The 40th Annual Yard Sale held June 6 brought sales and donations which totaled over $1,300, with some more expected soon. Cadiz Civitan Club wishes to say tank you to all who donated funds, donated items to sell, bought items, provided their time, material and equipment, and helped in any way. Funds go to Civitan projects, including Special Olympics and Special Children’s events. In other club items, a card of sympathy was sent to the family of Naomi Guess, who passed away. Her husband James is a Chapter Member of Cadiz Civitan Club, and Naomi has assisted in many Cadiz Civitan projects over the past 54 years.

Those attending include Rachel Shepard, Wallace Blakely, Ronnie Cook, Connie Cook, David Kyler, Willie Wilson, and William Lawrence. The Gold Dollar was won by Ronnie Cook, who closed the meeting by reading the Civitan Creed. Cadiz Civitan Club meets 6:30 p.m. each first and third Tuesday night at Cadiz Restaurant.
