The Rev. Billy Joe Nichols officiated at the services. Burial followed at the Wall Cemetery in Wallonia.
Mrs. Nichols died at 2:01 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Christian Care Communities in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Nichols was born on May 28, 1922 in Wallonia. She was the daughter of the late Norris Hopson and Johnnie Adelia “Sally” Murphy Bridges.
Mrs. Nichols was a homemaker. She was a member of the Wallonia Christian Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Nichols, Jr., one grandchild, Tanna Shea Tooke, one brother, James Hollis Bridges, and one sister, Lillian P’Pool.
Survivors include one son, Billy Joe Nichols, of Wallonia, one daughter, Betsy Nichols, of Wallonia, three grandchildren, Joey Nichols, Jameye Nichols, and Todd Nichols; six great grandchildren, Heather Brantley, Macy Nichols, Hannah Nichols, Bryson Nichols, Will Nichols, and Jayden Nichols.
