The Fraternal Order of Eagles group, during the seventh annual Alexis Sabatino Poker Run, sponsored Lauren LaChance, who has a type of bone cancer, and her family, said Joey Allen, the owner of Rip’s, a bar and liquor store in Gracey. The bar was the last of five stops on the poker run on Saturday.

Allen said he expected some 400 motorcyclists to show up at his establishment for the event. Motorcyclists pick up a card at each stop and end up with a hand by the fifth and final stop. The money is donated to a family with a “gravely ill” child, in this case the LaChances, said Allen.

Those in attendance were also able to listen to Russ Calhoun and the Cumberland Road Band, and were also able to just hang out, Allen said.
