Mr. Jack Maddox, 61, of Cadiz, died at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., of natural causes.

Mr. Maddox was born June 6, 1948 in Eddyville. He was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Meredith and Mary Frances Maddox Meredith.

Mr. Maddox was a heavy equipment mechanic and also worked as a truck driver for Winn Trucking of Tennessee.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife Susan Maddox of Cadiz; two sons, Brett Maddox of Cadiz, and Greg Maddox of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; one daughter Amanda Maddox of Cadiz.
