To the editor:

I feel that it is ridiculous for the citizens of Trigg County to vote “no” on the sale of alcohol.

During economic battles and Trigg County being sixth in the state for unemployment, do the people of Trigg County really love driving 30 minutes to a hour to pay taxes in other states and counties for their jobs?

Gracey is not that far away. People are going to drink no matter what you vote. Why not take a positive stance and bring jobs and taxes into Trigg instead of away?

Voting “yes” on alcohol means business will come to the community. How many people don’t have jobs in Cadiz? If you let religious views and stubborness stand in the way of growth, we might as well sell our cars and all buy horses again.
