Dr. Frank Mastey, Jr., 58, of Eddyville, died at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 at his residence.

Services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville. Visitation will be held beginning at 3 p.m. until the funeral hour.

Mr. Mastey was a retired Army veteran with 20-plus years service. He was owner and operator of the Subway restaurants in Eddyville and Cadiz. He was a member of the Kentucky Bass Foundation in Eddyville, the American Bass Anglers and the Redman Fishing Club.

He was preceded in death by one son, Frankie John Mastey, and his parents, Frank John Mastey, Sr., and Victoria Mastey.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Margaret Baker Mastey; two daughters, Tammy Mastey of Charlotte, N.C., and Victoria Mastey of Wichita, Kan.; one son, Joey Mastey of Cadiz; three brothers, Jimmy Mastey of Omak, Wash., Randy Mastey of Rainier, Wash., and Gary Mastey of Chicago, Ill.; six sisters, Jayne Cosner of Maryland; Audrey Allen of Houston, Texas; Phyllis Bowling of Phoenix, Ariz., Anita Lebus of Illinois, Eileen Kelly of Monee, Ill., and Maxine Schwantez of Crown Point, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
