Wildcat golfers defeat CCHS by two strokes

Trigg County defeated Christian County 158-160 in Monday’s golf match at Boots Randolph Golf Course.

Seniors Trent Parrent and Josh Lowe led Trigg, each shooting 39. Cole Cardner and Derek Rogers each shot 40, and Nick Choate shot 42.

Saturday, two Lady Wildcat golfers participated in the Paducah Invitational at Paxton Park. Sierra Bush shot 109 and Madison Chaney shot a 116.

Trigg also played in a quad match last Tuesday at Boots. The Wildcats finished in second place, one shot behind Hopkinsville (155-156). Christian County shot 165, followed by Crittenden County at 185.

Trigg was led by Trent Parrant with a 38. Nick Choate and Cole Gardner each shot 39, Josh Lowe shot 40 and Derek Rogers finished with a 42.

The ‘Cats were scheduled to play Thursday at Lyon County, but the match was canceled.

Trigg was scheduled to host Murray and Calloway County on Tuesday (results unavailable at press time) and will play Thursday against Livingston Central at Deer Lake Golf Course in Salem.
