Trigg blows past Lady Rockets 8-0

MARION – Kelci Winn and Lauren Frazier each netted hat tricks in Trigg County’s 8-0 win Monday at Crittenden County.

Brooklyn Thomas added a pair of goals for the Lady Wildcats. Brooke Allen recorded two assists while Winn, Frazier and Ashley Wigand each had one.

Trigg goalkeeper Katie Davis recorded three saves for the shutout. The Lady Wildcats outshot Crittenden 53-2.

In the junior varsity match, Trigg nailed down a 3-0 win. Sydney Geiger, Shelby Cionko and Hannah Futrell each scored for the Lady ‘Cats.

The win gave Trigg a 2-0 overall record and a 1-0 mark in the 4th District heading into Thursday’s match at Todd County Central. The Lady ‘Cats were scheduled to play at Calloway County last Tuesday, but the game was postponed due to weather.

Trigg will have a week off before playing two games next Saturday at the Henderson County Invitational.
