Class members from Trigg County High’s Class of 1969 celebrated the 40th anniversary of their graduation with a reunion, held Saturday, July 11th at Lake Barkley Lodge. Approximately 30 classmates plus their spouses were in attendance.

In charge of registration were Connie Carney Baker and Ruth Anne Mitchell. Class members were presented with nametags that were their senior class photos. Former class president, Howell Hopson of Cadiz, welcomed those present. Classmate, Rev. Mike Thomas of Chickamauga, Georgia, gave the invocation.

Following a delicious meal, classmates had a group photo taken by Monty Stagner, then enjoyed a brief program and fellowship in the Lodge meeting room. Members of the Class of 1969 honored their eleven deceased classmates with memorial candle lighting. Vicki DeName Godwin of Cadiz was in charge of the program.

Traveling the longest distance to attend the reunion was Bob Burroughs of Honolulu, Hawaii. Voted “changed the least” was Harriet Nesbitt Clark. Dorothy Clark Adams and Tommy Stevenson were voted “changed the most.” Gordon Green received the most votes for “baldest” while Mike Thomas was voted “grayest.”

Classmates came as far away as Washington State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Missouri and Indiana to renew acquaintances with old friends.
