The Lady Wildcats (3-15) defeated Hopkinsville (6-15) for the second time this year, taking down the Tigers 2-0 (25-23, 25-23) last Tuesday. Thursday, Trigg lost 0-2 (15-25, 8-25) to Christian County (23-7).
Trigg was set to host Madisonville-North Hopkins during Tuesday’s Senior Night (results unavailable at press time) before closing the regular season with a home match Thursday against Graves County.
The Lady Wildcats will host the 7th District Tournament next week. Trigg, the No. 4 seed, will play top-seed Caldwell County at 6 p.m. Then, No. 2 Livingston Central will battle No. 3 Crittenden County, with the winners playing for the district title at 7 p.m. next Thursday. Both finalists will advance to the 2nd Region Tournament the following week.
