Joseph “Joe” Greeley Moore, 77, of Cadiz, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at 1:22 a.m. at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz of a short illness.

Moore was born on Nov. 2, 1931, to the late Rev. Dr. Joseph Graesley Moore and the late Ruth Shaunessy Moore.

Moore was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and managed the Meadowdale International Raceways in Carpentersville, Ill. He was a leader for the Chicago Land Sports Racing Club and was a winning race car driver.

He also owned and operated the No Exit Café and Evanston and Northside Chicago, Ill., and the Green Dragon Inn near Fort Atkinson and Milton, Wis., and served as a newscaster for WCLO Radio in Janesvill, Wis.

Moore is survived by his wife of 40 years JoAnne Moore of Cadiz and his two brothers Brian Graham Moore of AustInd., Texas, and Dennis Moore of Lake Leelanau, Mich.
