Don Logan, 70, of Cadiz, died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at his residence after a short illness. A private memorial service with military rites was held Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville. Richard Stanley officiated.

Mr. Logan was born Nov. 4, 1939 in Chicago, Ill. His parents were Olaf R. and Mildred H. Logan.

He was a ifetime member of Local 399 IUOE; Past President of PREA-Practical Refrigeration Engineers Association; Member of ASHRAE; Member of National Association of Power Engineers; Past President of Chief Engineers of Chicagoland; Chief Engineer 333 N. Michigan; Assistant Chief of Brunswick Hotel; Board Member of PACS; Army’s liquid oxygine and nitrogen Production Specialist; Former Board Member of the Cadiz Lions Club; Former Board Member and Volunteer of Trigg Lyon Fire Department; Member of RSVP; Red Cross Volunteer; Former member of Helping Hands; Former member of Funtimers Fishing Club; 2002 Kentucky State King of Tops and a US Army Veteran.

He was of the Catholic Faith and a retired Operations Manager of Amoco Research Center, in Naperville, Ill.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen Ann Logan, Cadiz, daughters and son-in-law Donna and Daniel Johnson, Clarksville, Tenn., and Deborah Logan, Maple Valley, Wash., brother and sister-in-law Charles “ZuZu” & Ellie Logan, Evanston, Ill., three Grandchildren, Stephanie & Jessica Breitenfellner, Maple Valley, Wash., and Mary Smock, Chicago, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Logan.
