The meeting will be held at the complex convention center.
Leagues will be sanctioned through United States Specialty Sports Association for the upcoming season. This affiliation will allow Trigg County teams to compete in regional, state and national tournaments. It also will provide medical and liablility insurance for players ad coaches while playing.
The organization will be led by a board of parents and boosters.
“As a group we will be responsible for sign-ups, schedules, uniforms, umpires and all other activities related to running the baseball operations at the complex,” said board member Charles Terrell, adding the board is working with the compex board to come up with an agreement that lays out all the responsiblilties for both parties, including concessions and field rentals.
“This is going to be a big undertaking, and we will need all of the parent andcommunity support that we can get,” Terrell said. “There will be changes from the way things have been done in the past. We ask everyone to be patient and open-minded as we see this as a way to make our youth baseball program as vibrant and active as it has has been in the past.”
