Five Trigg County Middle School football players participated in Kentucky’s East-West Middle School All-Star Game held Sunday at Kentucky Wesleyan.

Each team fielded two full squads that rotated on the field throughout the game. The West team won 40-21.

Trigg quarterback Luke McKenzie finished the contest with 30 passing yards and 38 yards on the ground. Quentin Bird picked up 10 rushing yards and caught two passes for five years. Mikey White kicked a pair of extra points. Warren Jones saw action on defense, and Aaron Stevens played center on the offensive line.

Stevens will suit up one more time before his football season is officially complete. He was selected in the Peyton Newel 2010 US Army/Football University Youth All-American Bowl. Stevens will play center in the contest, which will be played Sunday, Jan. 10 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The game, which is set to be webcast by NBC Sports, is held the same weekend as the high school All-American Bowl.
