Funeral services for Randa Owens, 76, of Cadiz, were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Thweatt officiating. Interment is at Lawrence Cemetery in Cadiz.

Owens died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father George W. Owens and her mother Iva Gladys (King) Owens, her two brothers James B. Owens and Milton Owens, and by her two sisters Wanda Owens and Evelyn Perkins.

She is survived by her one sister, Lois Harrison of Mayfield, Ky., her one brother George Owens of Calvert City, Ky., and locally by three nieces-Marie Alexander of Cadiz, Charlene Freeman of Cadiz, and Debbie Holder of Cadiz, KY.
