Mr. Alexander died Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.
He was a retired truck driver and farmer. He was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church, a US Navy WWII veteran, member of the Veter-ans of Foreign Wars and Teamster No. 89 Local.
Survivors include one daughter, Toni Alexander of Portland, Ore.; one son, Mike Alexander and wife Pam, of Cadiz; three sisters, Linda Caldwell of Cadiz, Lorene Redick of Bowling Green and Betty Estes of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Robert Alexander of Columbia, Tenn.; three grandchldren Chris Alexander and Casey Alexander of Cadiz and Jade Alexander of Louisville; and special friend Corine Burgess of Trigg County.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Alexander and James Alexander, and one sister, Evelyn Cantrell.
His parents were Harvey T. Alexander and Pocahontas (P’Pool) Alexander.
The pallbearers were Johnny Redick, Barry Alexander, Brandon Alexander, Dan Oakley, Joe Chewning and Malcolm Thomas.
