Charles White Taylor, 76, was born at Vanderbilt University Hospital, March 16, 1933. He was the son of Dr. Clarence Taylor and Virginia White Taylor Scott and the stepson of Maurice Scott, of Frankfort. Charles practiced Pediatrics in Lexington for 42 years, most recently with Westside Pediatrics. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt Medical School. He interned at Vanderbilt in pediatrics and completed a pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Taylor served in the U.S. Army as Chief of pediatrics at Camp de Loges and The Amer-ican Hospital of Paris, France.

Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice; a son, Allen (Linda), of Lexington and a daughter, page (Radek) Vingralek; a grandson, Mark Charles and granddaughter, Katherine Taylor Vingralek, of Belmont, Calif. He was preceded in death by a son, John Cullen and a daughter, Sarah White. He is also survived by a brother, Clarence Hopson Taylor, and sisters, Elizabeth Wingate Scott, of Frankfort, and Virginia Tobler palmer, of Fredericksburg. Md.; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Milward Southland Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services were 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010 at St. Raphael’s Episcopal church on Parkers Mill Road in Lexington. Interment followed at Frankfort Cemetery.
