Mrs. Edwards died at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Bradford Heights Rehabilitation Center in Hopkinsville after a long illness.
Mrs. Edwards was born March 15, 1937 in Hopkinsville. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Madie Travis Mayes.
Mrs. Edwards was a retired secretary from Jennie Stuart Medical Center X-Ray Department. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville and a member of the Rebeckah and Odd Fellow Lodge Assembly in Hopkinsville and a Lady Colonel.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Chalmus “Mr.Ed” Edwards, two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws; Anthony and Shannon Edwards, Hopkinsville, Chalmus “Tippy” and Chessie Edwards, Kirksey, one daughter and son-in-law; Claudia “Toodles” Richey and Richard Harper, Madison, Tenn., three grandchildren, Tiffany and Stanley Warfield, Bethany Edwards, Amanda Edwards all of Hopkinsville, two great grandchildren, Matthew Warfield and Cheyanne Warfield both of Hopkinsville.
