Funeral services for Opal LaNeave Hemingway, 97 of Princeton were conducted at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

The Rev. Tom Hughes officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hemingway died at 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Princeton Health and Rehab Center after a long illness.

Mrs. Hemingway was born January 16, 1913 in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Eli Truit and Lou Onie Cunningham LaNeave.

Mrs. Hemingway was a retired clerk at the County clerk’s Office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents her husband, James Alris Hemingway, one brother, E.W. LaNeave and three sisters, Macey Allen, Mamie Curling and Thelma Russell, preceded her in death.

Survivors include one Nephew, Don Russell, of Caldwell Co., one Niece, JoAnn Moore, of Chicago, Ill. And several great Nieces and Nephews.

Serving, as pallbearers were Ray Heaton, Russell Heaton, Rodney Heaton, Hollis Curling, Larry Curling, Don Russell, Ron Russell, and Don Evans Russell.
