The Trigg County Wildcats’ only game last week was a 68-64 overtime loss to Logan County on Homecoming Night in Cadiz.

Trigg fell behind by nine points in the fourth quarter and trailed 56-50 inside the final minute before Josh Adams and Zeke Wright hit four consecutive free throws after a Logan personal foul/technical foul combo.

The ‘Cats took a brief one-point lead before Logan hit a free throw to send the game into overtime. Trigg tied the score twice in the final frame and never trailed by more than one possession until Derrod Blakey’s three-point play with 20.8 seconds left.

Wright scored 18 to lead the Wildcats in scoring, followed in double figures by Jalik Alexander with 15 and Deonquez Nance with 11.

Tuesday’s game at Dawson Springs was canceled due to weather. Trigg is set to play Friday at Caldwell County. The game will be played at the old Butler Gym in Princeton. Trigg is then set to host Todd County Central on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
