Graveside services for Charles Layton Litchfield were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at East End Cemetery. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrange-ments.

The Rev. Dr. Hilda Bentley offic-iated at the service. Burial followed at East End Cemetery.

Mr. Litchfield died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center after a short illness.

Mr. Litchfield was born August 17, 1933 in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Robert Layton and Woodrow Faulkner Litchfield.

Mr. Litchfield was retired from the civil Service and the Army Corp of Engineers. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the Cadiz United Methodist Church.

Survivors include sister and brother-in-law Anna Litchfield Powell and Gene Powell of Cadiz; two nieces, Marilyn McKinney Hearnsberger and Col. Brian Hearnsberger (USMC) of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; Melissa McKinney Howell and Tom Howell of Louisville; three great nephews and nieces, Matthew, Grace and Andrew Howell, of Louisville; and cousin Margaret Ann Reynolds Pritchard of Brentwood, Tenn.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cadiz United Methodist Church, 214 Main Street, Cadiz, KY 42211.
