The Rev. Jerry Bacon officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wimberly died at 10:12 a.m. Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Trigg Co. Hospital of natural causes.
Mrs. Wimberly was born May 28, 1933 in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Birt Diamond and Orangie Emora Coleman Bacon.
Mrs. Wimberly was a caregiver. She was employed by PACS. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church where she was a choir member, usher board president, Sunday school teacher and superintendent, graveyard committee chairperson, Little River Cumberland Valley Choir. She was a 4-H leader, homemakers club, church historian and also past member of Trigg Co. Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband of over 52 years, Leonard Wimberly, three sons, Bectram (Benita) and Melvin Boyd, Kenneth (chiffon) Wimberly all of Cadiz, four daughters, Regenia (Jimmie II) Peacher, Dayton Ohio, Rochelle Wimberly Brown, Hopkinsville, Stacey and Elaine Wimberly both of Cadiz, 23 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
