Funeral services for George Byron Drennan, 74, of Princeton were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

The Rev. Leslie Joyce officiated at the services. Burial followed in Eddy Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Drennan died at 1:23 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Princeton Health and Rehab Center after a long illness.

Mr. Drennan was born November 10, 1935 in Caldwell County. He was the son of the late James George and Juanita Piercy Drennan.

Mr. Drennan was retired plant manager of Alloy Piping Products, Shreveport, La., He was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School, a graduate of Murray State University, Plant superintendent at ITT Grinell, a U.S. Army veteran, and he was a member of Eddy Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Martha Ann Hartigan Drennan, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Wayne and Becky Hartigan, Princeton, two nephews; Michael Hartigan and wife, Michelle, Water Valley, and John David Hartigan and wife, Amy, Phoenix, Ariz., one niece; Dr. Katie Hartigan Jett and husband, Shelby, Louisville, four great nieces and two great nephews.
