Trigg County Middle School’s baseball teams lost a pair of games against Christian County last Wednesday.

Trigg’s junior varsity team lost 16-4, while the varsity squad fell 7-3.

In the JV game, Tyler Allen was the losing pitcher, and Trigg was led at the plate by Brandon Wilson and Reid Kuberski, each with a double. Jeremiah Kline added a single for Trigg’s only other hit.

In the varsity game, Trigg led 3-0 until the top of the seventh inning and couldn’t match the Colonels’ comeback. Jacob Green was the losing pitcher, but he had pitched a shutout until the final inning. Ean Sholar slapped a pair of singles, and Green, Tyler Estes and Austin Calhoun each had singles.

Trigg returns to action with a doubleheader Thursday at Clarksville Northeast.
