That is according to Nancy Steele, a consultant who has worked with Mike and Clara Beth Hyde of Barkley Plantation. She added that work was started last September, and an official groundbreaking ceremony was held early last October.
Steele said the assisted living facility received its certification last week, and also said she expects for the facility to start seeing customers this week.
There are 26 apartments, some one-bedroom and some two-bedroom, and three meals a day provided, and there are staff on hand 24 hours a day and seven days a week to help the seniors, although no healthcare is provided by the facility, Steele said.
There are a variety of activities that the seniors can participate in, and the staff clean each apartment once a week, added Steele.
