Funeral services with military honors for Tommy Fourshee, 89, of Cadiz, were held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Revs. Kevin Roberts and O.D. Boyd officiated. Music was provided by vocalist Ann Taylor and pianist Mary Skaggs. Pallbearers were Dale Ezell, Carl Heckmann, Clyde Weaver, Ricky Ray Jones, Don Hendrix and Dillmon Cunningham. Interment followed at East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Mr. Fourshee died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.

He was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was the owner of Fourshee Building Contractor and Fourshee Building Supply in Cadiz. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in World War II, and a member of Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Fourshee of Cadiz; three sons and daughter-in-law, Anthony Fourshee, John and Vickie Fourshee and Paul Fourshee, all of Cadiz; one sister, Irene Coleman of Cadiz; grandchildren Edye and Peter Raymond, Amy and Daric Schroen, John Matt and Michele Fourshee, and two great-grandchildren, Thomas Edwin Raymond and Myles Walker Fourshee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Riley Issac Fourshee, mother Edna Carr Fourshee Billington and his first wife, Nell Mize Fourshee.
