RULES FOR TRIGG COUNTY PRIMARY FORUM

The official time will be kept by Melissa Noel and an assistant from The Cadiz Record. She will hold up a sign when you have 30 seconds left. A second sign when your time is up.



The order of participation will be determined alphabetically and by party.

Magistrate Races

Each candidate will be allowed to make a (1) one minute opening statement

Each candidate will be allowed up to 30 seconds to answer questions

Each will have up to 30 seconds for one rebuttal

Each candidate will have one minute to make a closing statement

County Attorney and Sheriff Forums

Each candidate will have 2 (two) minutes to make an opening statement

Each candidate will have 1 (one) minute to answer questions

Each candidate will have up to 30 seconds for one rebuttal

Each candidate will have 1 (one) minute to make closing statement

The democrat and republican women’s organizations from Trigg County will assist in screening questions from the audience.

We anticipate the large magistrates to take 30 minutes each. Smaller magistrate races will be allotted 15 minutes.

Any candidate who does not have an opponent participate in the debate will be allotted 2 minutes to make an opening statement.

The forums will be moderated by Cadiz Record Editor Justin McGill and WKDZ-WHVO News Director Alan Watts
