8U baseball

Kentucky Machine 19 Rockcastle Rockets 11. Kentucky Machine got their bats going in the second inning with a leadoff single by Cooper Long who was later driven in by a double off the bat of Brayden Wease. Defense was great with a key tag out at home by Dallas Ahart.

10u baseball

Goodwin Funeral Home 13 WKDZ 7. Wyatt Wagoner and Wesley Choate each had two hits as Goodwin Funeral Home beat WKDZ 13-7. Dillon Stewart and Devin Nelson each reached base three times. Jase Polley had a three-run triple for WKDZ.

Rogers Group vs. Boomer Radio. Ja’Marion Grubbs led Rogers Group on the mound and from the plate. He pitched four innings and had two hits. Kyron Grubbs also had two hits.

Computer Corp 10-WKDZ 3. Computer Corps notched their first win of the season led by fantastic pitching by Ethan Nolcox and Anthony Ellison. The whole team made contributions to the win. Anthony Ellison, Ethan Nolcox, Jake Terrell, Jarod Ballengee, and Noah Strickland all had hits while Graham Futrell had 3 walks and scored a run, William Longworth and matthew Walker both scored twice. Jakeb Jordan made a couple of nice stops in the outfield, and Zeb Fox played a great game behind the plate.

12u baseball

Just Your Style Cardinals 10 - Lyon County 5. In the first away game of this season played in Eddyville, Will Allen pitched 3 great innings, and Will Alexander relieved him in the fourth inning to finish the game. The game was tight through the 4th inning with Just Your Style leading 7-5 going into the last inning. Just Your Style pulled away in the last inning with clutch hitting and smart base running and managed to put 3 on the board in the top of the 6th inning. Will Alexander pitched a scoreless 6th inning to finish the game. James Thomas got on base with a walk in the 4th inning and stole a base. Justin Hancock came up to bat in the fourth inning and walked. Hancock then stole 2nd, 3rd and home to get another run in. In the fifth inning the Cardinals got a fantastic double play. With a man on second, Will Alexander pitched the ball that was hit back to him. He threw the batter out at first, while the runner on second advanced to 3rd. Will Allen, the first baseman, fires the ball to 3rd. Brandon Wilson, playing 3rd base, couldn’t handle the one hop throw, and it got past him. The runner went home. Wilson quickly gathered the ball and threw a laser home, and Braden Miller put the tag on him at the plate.

May 7

10u baseball

WKDZ 8 Rogers Group 1. Darrin Brown retired the first 10 batters he faced and struck out 12 in six innings to help WKDZ beat Rogers Group 8-1. Kaleb Skinner and Jordan Shemwell each had RBI doubles, and Chris Noel had a two-run single for WKDZ. Peyton Noel, Jamarion Grubbs, and Trevor Cortner had singles for Rogers Group.

Goodwin Funeral Home 4 - Computer Corps 2. Computer Corps Highlights: Jacob Terrell pitched 2 innings giving up only 1 run and went 1-2 from the field with 1 single and two stolen bases. Matthew Walker also had 2 walks, 4 stolen bases, and scored 2 runs. Graham Futrell ended the 4th ending with a double play. Anthony Ellison went 1-2 with a single and 2 stolen bases, and Ethan Nolcox went 1-3 with a single and 2 stolen bases.

Kentucky Machine 11- Rockcastle Rockets 9. Kentucky Machine edges Rockcastle in a close game with great hitting and base running by Bryce Cunningham and Trey Carr. Defense was also great which was lead by Keaton Hyde who plays pitcher.
