Civitan Awareness month is being observed in May. Be sure to note the Proclamation from Trigg County Judge Executive Stan Humphries, and Cadiz Mayor Lyn bailey published in the May 5 issue of the Cadiz Record.
Also, the Civitan Awareness speaker for May 18th will be Valley District 10 Area Director, Robert Hood, of Owensboro, Ky. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Extensive planning is underway for the 41 Annual Civitan Yard Sale to be held Saturday June 5.
Anyone with items for Civitan to sell should phone President Shepard 270-522-3329, or any Civitan.
This fundraiser is very important to help Civitan maintain their many services, including Special Children’s Party, Special Olympics, and other worthwhile services.
The result of the President’s Quiz saw a tie between Civitans David Kyler, and Ronnie cook. Both winners will receive a prize.
Those attending include Rachel Shepard, Willie Wilson, Ronnie Cook, David Kyler, John Mitchell, William and Carolyn Lawrence.
The Gold Dollar Winner was Willie Wilson, who closed the meeting by reading the Civitan Creed.
Civitan meets each first and third Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. at Cadiz Restaurant.
