Boomer Radio erased a 6-0 deficit thanks to a seven-run fourth inning as they posted a 12-7 win over Rogers Group in the first round of tournament play. Tyson Bush and Darrin Brown had RBI doubles in that fourth inning, and Devin Wilson, Jase Polley, and Micah Brown added RBI singles in the frame. Kaleb Skinner also singled and scored two runs. Darrin Brown shook off a rough first inning by allowing no hits over the final three innings and striking out 10 in the contest. Jamarion Grubbs had a pair of RBI singles for Rogers Group, and Matt Sauerman scored two runs. Trevor Cortner and Tyler Ladd flashed the leather in the field, with Cortner recording an unassisted double play in the first inning.

Goodwin scored in every inning to claim the regular season title with a 9-1 win over Boomer Radio. Wyatt Wagoner had two singles and two RBIs and made a run-saving catch in right field for Goodwin, who also got an RBI double from Dillion Stewart and RBI singles from Riley Stallons and Wesley Choate. Kaleb Skinner had an RBI single, and Jase Polley had an RBI double for WKDZ.

Boomer Radio scored four runs in the sixth inning to score an 11-8 come-from-behind win over Rogers Group. Tyson Bush and Darrin Brown each had RBI doubles in that sixth inning. Jordan Shemwell had two hits and two RBIs, including an inside-the-park home run for WKDZ, while Devin Wilson, Kaleb Skinner, Jase Polley, and Derrick Frazier each had RBI singles. Polley picked up the pitching win, striking out six and allowing one hit in three innings of work. Tyler Ladd had two hits for Rogers Group, while Trevor Cortner and Jacob Calhoun each had run-scoring hits. Cortner, who scored three runs, was the tough-luck loser on the mound, striking out 12 in six innings of work.

Boomer Radio scored four runs in the fifth inning to beat Computer Corps 10-6. Darrin Brown had three hits for WKDZ, including a bases-loaded triple in the decisive fifth inning. Jase Polley added two hits and two RBIs, and Devin Wilson and Derrick Frazier each scored two runs. Micah Brown picked up the pitching win, striking out seven in five innings. Jarrod Ballengee and Ethan Nolcox each had RBI singles for Computer Corps, with Nolcox striking out three batters in two innings of work on the mound.
Kentucky Machine defeated the Rockcastle Rockets and Coldwell Banker defeated Cortner’s Collision in first-round tournament play.
Cerulean Masonic Lodge 13 Crittenden Co. (Cosby) 1
Cerulean improved their record to 6-1. Cerulean was paced by (WP) Justen Wease with a double, 2 walks, and three runs scored. Hayden Daniel was 2 for 2 with a double, 2 RBI’s, and 2 runs scored. Zac Colbert, Clay Stevens, Brandon Schafer, and Luke Carneyhan had RBI doubles each. Leadoff hitter Alex Wynne had 3 walks and 2 runs scored on excellent base running. Tyler Spano had a double and scored. Austin Humphries scored 2 runs off 2 walks.

Cerulean fought back from an early 5-0 deficit. Clay Stevens was 2 for 3 with a 3 RBI double and 4 RBI’s. Brandon Schafer was 2 for 3 with a 2 RBI triple, (called out at plate for sliding head first), an RBI single and run scored. Hayden Daniel was 2 for 3 with a 2 RBI double and a run scored. Alex Wynne and Jack Vinson were both 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored, both showed good base running. Zac Colbert had a single and a run scored. Justen Wease (WP) had 2 walks, an RBI, and a run scored. D’Avian Phillips had an RBI. Austin Humphries scored two runs. Luke Carneyhan had a walk, and scored.

Cerulean again was led by good pitching from Justen Wease (WP), Hayden Daniel, and Clay Stevens. At the plate Cerulean was paced by Alex Wynne - 2 for 3 with a 3 RBI triple, 5 RBI’s and two runs scored; Brandon Schafer 2 for 2 with a solo home run and 2 runs scored. Hayden Daniel had a RBI double and scored. Jack Vinson and Luke Carneyhan each had hits and runs scored.

Dawson Springs (Thomas) 4 The whole team hit the ball well and contributed on offense. Brandon Schafer had a grand slam and Hayden Daniel had a triple. The pitching combination of Daniel (WP) and Justen Wease continued to do well.
