Trigg County’s girls soccer team has now lost seven straight matches and has only one more regular season game left to go.

The Lady Wildcats lost 3-1 to Christian County, 5-1 at Owensboro Catholic and 10-1 to Hopkinsville and host Muhlenberg County on Thursday.

Trigg gets a chance to right the ship in the first round of the 4th District Tournament. The Lady ‘Cats, hosts of this year’s tournament, will play the second game Monday against Lyon County. Top-seed Caldwell County will play Crittenden County at 6 p.m., and the winners of those matches will play for the district championship at 5:30 p.m. next Thursday. Both teams will also advance to the 2nd Region Tournament the following week.
