Nevertheless, that’s what you get this week, Large Type Western’s and Westerns on Audio Book, plus Christmas stories and of course “Pam’s Picks.” So…lets start with my fiction picks. “Happy Ever After” by Nora Roberts, this is the 4th book in the Bride Quartet series. It features Parker Brown, who can run a wedding planning company but cannot manage her own love life. Available in Regular and Large Print.
This series includes: “Vision in White,” “Bed of Roses.” “Savor the Moment,” and “Happy Ever After.” Stephen White’s “Last Lie,” White returns to his much beloved Alan Gregory series with an intricate crime story of deception and secrecy.
My Non-fiction Pick: “Time and the River” by Michael Freeland, this is a memoir. This is the book he will be signing on Dec. 18.
New Westerns: “Gun in his Hand” by Wayne C. Lee, “Silvertrip’s Trap” by Max Brand, “Bandit Trail” by William MacLeod Raine, and “Sarah Glory” by Christina Starr.
And now …Just a little Christmas: “Promise Me” by Richard Evans, “An Amish Christmas” by Cynthia Keller, and “Christmas Spirit” by Joel Osteen.
New Audio Books on CD: “Safe Haven” by Nicholas Sparks, “Dexter is Delicious” by Jeff Lindsey, “Hanging Judge” by Lyle Brandt, “Bullet for a Bad Man” by Ralph Compton, and “Conyon Diablo” by Max McCoy.
New CDs: “Christmas from Nashville,” “Now That’s What I Call a Country Christmas,” “Gold & Green” by Sugarland, and “Christmas Wish” by Olivia Newton John.
New DVDs: “The Rare Breed,” with James Stewart and Maureen O’Hara, and “The Plainsman” with Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur.
New Display: In the display case for the month of December are Snow Babies. This adorable collection of Snow Babies is just a portion of Barbara Quinn’s collection. My favorite is the one with Santa resting and the Snow Babies playing with his boots. Stop by and see this wonderful display it is sure to make you smile.
FYI: We have had several calls about our copiers. You may have read about some copiers that store memory of information it copies. Our copiers are not digital. Digital copiers do have memory but our copiers are analog so they do not have memory.
Book Signing and Talk: Michael Freeland will be here Saturday, Dec. 18, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Mr. Freeland has written a new book, “Time and the River” this is a memoir. Mr. Freeland’s first book was “Blood River to Berlin.” He will have both books on sale for $25.00 each.
The Cadiz Record’s Library Notes feature is submitted by John L. Street Library Director Pam Metts.
