Funeral services for Edward Theodore Stewart, 83, of Cadiz, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at King’s Funeral Home. The Revs. Gregg McNichols and Robert Wayne Stewart will officiate. The body will be cremated. Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military rites. Visitation will follow after 5 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Stewart died of natural causes at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

He was born April 1, 1927 in Chicago, Ill. to the late Edward Daniel Stewart and Lilian Petersen Stewart.

He was a retired quality control inspector form the Electro-Motive Division of GM. He was a US Army WWII veteran, a member of the Western KY. Retiree Chapter of the UAW and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie Claude Stewart, of Cadiz; one brother, Robert Wayne Stewart (and wife Dolores) of Winfield, Ill.; one sister, Dolores Watz of Chicago, Ill.; three sons, Eric Stewart of Cadiz, Bryan Stewart of Cadiz and Kirk Stewart (and wife Carrie) of Dubois, Pa.; one daughter, Diane Stewart and two grandchildren, Erin Marie Kranz of Dallas, Texas and Alexander Noel of Dubois, Pa.
