Funeral services for James W. “Jay” Witty, 53, of Cerulean, were held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Revs. Steven Spitzer and John Street officiated. Burial followed at Cerulean Cemetery.

Mr. Witty died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital

He was the chief engineer of the design branch at Ft. Campbell, was a member of Cadiz United Methodist Church and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, where he had served as past state and local president.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Witty of Cerulean; two sisters, Vicki Witty Stroud of Cerulean and Jackie Witty Everett of Hopkinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold W. Witty and Dorothy Perry Witty, and one brother, Bruce Perry Witty.

Serving as pallbearewrs were Bill Rascoe, Steve Stewart, Jeffery Brashears, Joe Chewning, David Cortner and Tony Holland.
