Jodi Noel Sumner and Jason William Mendez were married Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Talon Winery in Lexington.

Kevin Clark, pastor of Vineyard Community Church in Lexington, officiated the ceremony. Music was provided by Justin Rhorer of Lexington, Ky., and John Maynard of Louisville.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Danita Sumner of Cadiz. She is the granddaughter of Frieda and the late Eugene Sumner and Ann Wagner; and the late Wilbert Williams, all of Cadiz.

The groom is the son of Kim Nichols of Hermitage, Tenn., and Jeff and Cynthia Mendez of Las Vegas, Nev. He is the grandson of Joe and Yolanda Mendez of Miami, Fla.; Emma Maldonado of San Juan, Puerto Rico; and the late Harrie and Betty Nichols of Lebanon, Tenn.

The bride chose Cassie Clark of Portsmouth, Ohio, as her matron of honor.

The flower girl was Avery Harper, daughter of Benjie and Kathy Harper of Cadiz.

The ring bearer was Austin Mendez son of Jessica Mendez of Hermitage, Tenn.

The groom chose Anthony Motta, of Nashville, Tenn., as best man.

Ushers were Landon Sumner of Cadiz; and Junior Torres of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The reception followed at Talon Winery.

Guest register attendants included Taylor Butts of Cadiz; Kylea Anderson of Knoxville, Tenn.; and Leslie Ferguson-Oles of Waynesville, N.C.

The couple resides in Lexington.
