Mrs. Dixon died following a long illness at 3:26 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home.
She was born March 25, 1951 in Trigg County to the late Jack Jay Stewart and Jackie Ruth Mitchell Stewart.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Watkins; one brother, Jimmy F. Stewart; and one sister, Penny E. Stewart.
She is survived by two brothers, Leonard C. Stewart (and wife Mary) of Crofton and Marshall L. “Bo” Stewart (and wife Sharon) of Hopkinsville; two sons, Billy Watkins (and wife Kim) of Cadiz and Greg Watkins also of Cadiz; three daughters, Freida Maxey of Cadiz, Shannon P’Pool (and husband Ricky) of Cerulean and Stacie Oakley (and husband Jimi) of Cadiz; 18 grandchildren, Allen Maxey of Cadiz, Ashley Maxey of Hopkinsville, Alyssa Maxey of Cadiz, Dustin, Jennifer, Kristen and Nick Watkins, all of Cadiz, Joshua and Amber P’Pool, both of Cerulean, Kayla Joiner of Cadiz, Keisha, Karlie and Andrew Stewart, all of Cadiz, Braxton and Brantley Oakley, both of Cadiz, Cora Mae and Michael Todd Watkins, both of Princeton and Austin Watkins of Fredonia; eight great- grandchildren, Tyler, Kaleb and Zane Maxey, all of Cadiz, Hunner Bealmear of Hopkinsville, Braylyn Harper of Cadiz, Ezashia Jones of Cadiz, Luke Fennell of Cadiz and Hailey Watkins of Princeton.
Pallbearers were Allen Maxey, Dustin and Nick Watkins, Joshua P’Pool, Andrew Stewart, Michael and Austin Watkins and Brantley and Braxton Oakley.
Music was performed by Jan Oakley pianist and Mark Harris vocalist.
